ONE FLOWER, ONE KRAFT BAG

Simple · Natural · Beautiful

The floral styling and presentation shown here are Dekoron’s own original interpretation.

Sometimes the simplest flower presentations leave the strongest impression

Recently, I spent some time reading Floral Everyday by Japanese floral designer Yukiko Masuda.

What stayed with me was not one particular arrangement, but the feeling behind her work — soft colours, natural movement and the confidence to let flowers breathe.

That idea inspired me to create my own interpretation using one of Dekoron’s white floral paper bags.

Instead of treating packaging as something added at the end, I wanted the bag to become part of the presentation itself.

When Packaging Becomes Part of the Arrangement

For this project, I chose a white waterproof paper bag with white twisted paper handles and a gold ginkgo leaf hot stamp.

Instead of wrapping the flowers after arranging them, the bag becomes part of the overall display from the beginning.

The result feels clean, practical and naturally elegant.

The gold ginkgo motif adds a quiet decorative touch while allowing the flowers to remain the focal point.

Choosing Flowers with a Natural Rhythm

Instead of using many colours, I focused on different textures and soft movement.

Flower Materials

  • Peach tulips
  • White ranunculus
  • Waxflower
  • Eucalyptus
  • Soft seasonal greenery

The tulips naturally lean in different directions, while eucalyptus extends beyond the edges of the bag to create an airy silhouette.

That relaxed asymmetry became one of my favourite parts of the arrangement.

How I Created This Presentation

The process is intentionally simple.

Step 1 — Prepare the flowers

Trim the stems and remove excess leaves so each flower has room to breathe.

Step 2 — Build the centre

Start with the tallest tulip and one ranunculus to establish the overall height.

Step 3 — Place the flowers in the bag

Simply place the flowers directly into the paper bag.

The waterproof paper bag allows the flowers to become part of the presentation itself while keeping the overall look neat and compact.

Step 4 — Adjust the movement

Add eucalyptus and waxflower until the arrangement feels balanced rather than perfectly symmetrical.

The goal isn’t to make it look full.

The goal is to let every stem feel intentional.

Why This Style Works for Retail

For gift shops, garden centres and florists, presentation often catches attention before customers notice individual flowers.

This style can work beautifully for:

  • Gift shops
  • Garden centres
  • Florists
  • Spring collections
  • Mother’s Day displays
  • Countertop retail presentations

The clean white finish allows seasonal flowers to become the visual focus while creating a presentation that feels calm and premium.

Small Details Make the Difference

Some of my favourite moments aren’t the largest flowers.

They’re the quieter details:

  • A tulip gently leaning forward.
  • Eucalyptus catching soft morning light.
  • The gold ginkgo leaf reflecting subtly against the white paper.

Those small details create a presentation that feels elegant without becoming complicated.

Sometimes, simplicity is exactly what customers remember.
